Zimmerman Auto Detailing was started in 2010 by Alan Zimmerman. He started working out of his parents' garage when he was 14 years old, detailing cars for his co-workers at Vermeer Midwest and for friends of his family. Alan sold his first full detail for sixty dollars- an eight-hour job! By 2012, the business had grown too big for the garage, and Alan relocated to a shop in Eureka, which he shared with Dan Steffen of DKS Trucking. From 2012 to 2015, Alan grew the business here, expanding to commercial, marine, farm and construction detailing. In 2015 Alan was approached with the opportunity to buy a power washing company from Bloomington, and in September of that year, Zimmerman Power Wash was created. Faced with the challenge of running two companies, Alan saw the need for expansion. In Goodfield, on a piece of property Alan purchased in high school, the company broke ground for its new facility in the spring of 2016. Completed that fall, it currently houses both business. If you are ever in Goodfield, stop in to meet Alan and his team!
"I am the owner of the company that I started in 2010. I am happily married to my wife, Karissa, and we have a little girl named Blakely. We enjoy spending time outdoors and boating. I spend any other free time I have focusing on my hobby of classic cars and trucks. I enjoy my job because it lets my passion for people shine through and it gives me opportunities to impact lives- not just for work, but also for God."
"I joined the team in the summer of 2015. I graduated Eureka High School in 2017 and am currently attending Eastern Illinois University, where I will be studying marketing. I enjoy spending time with friends and boating on the weekends. I enjoy working here because of the family-like structure! We always have a good time at work."
“Besides working full time, I am a husband to my wonderful wife, Rebecca, and father to seven beautiful children. I am one of the Pastors who started Abundant Life in Christ Church of Bloomington, where the focus is outreach to those in need by obeying Matthew 25:35-36. I am working on growing a new ministry in Eureka that focuses on youth. In my time off, I enjoy family time, fishing and four-wheeling. I enjoy working here because Alan sees the value in making us feel like family. The team works together well and makes me feel accomplished when a customer is not just satisfied, but got more than expected.”
